How to Avoid Nicotine Stains Re-occuring After Laser Teeth Whitening
Industry standards in laser teeth whitening recommend that stains will not re-occur for up to 2 years after treatment. However, unless you intend to give up smoking, you may wish to take up some new habits which will help extend your white smile for longer;
Chew Whitening Gum - After smoking, the use of whitening gums stimulates the production of saliva which helps to wash away staining debris from the nicotine and so effectively clean the mouth. This will also freshen the breath and remove the odor of smoke quickly.
Drink water - Drink water after smoking. Water will rinse away staining nicotine material from the teeth. Use it as a mouthwash after drinking tea or coffee. It will help to maintain your white teeth.
Use a whitening toothpaste - Whitening toothpastes will not achieve the same results of laser teeth whitening as they do not contain Hydrogen peroxide. However, they will go along way in helping to maintain your white smile after you have had laser teeth whitening treatment.
