What Qualifications Do You Have?

We are professionally registered with The Irish Dental Nurse Association of Ireland. We are also qualified and certified Laser Teeth Whitening Clinicians. If you are considering laser teeth whitening, you should ask your clinician if they are registered with a professional dental association. Only individuals holding a recognised dental qualification have a thorough understanding of the anatomy of your teeth, gums and the mouth and are better qualified to ensure a safe and effective laser teeth whitening process. A medical nurse is onsite at all times at our center.

Ask your dentist about our qualifications. Because they will be very familiar with the training we have received. They will assure you that you are in good hands because our training means we are qualified not just to whiten your teeth but to advise you on general oral hygiene care. We can identify oral issues and refer you back to your dentist if necessary. Please visit your dentist every 6 - 12 months.

What is Laser Teeth Whitening and How Does it Work?

In circumstances where customary brushing, flossing and other means of dental hygiene are not enough to remove deep remove intrinsic stains, Laser teeth whitening treatment is therefore deployed. During laser teeth whitening the client sits comfortably in a dental chair. The teeth whitening clinician applies a layers of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide to the teeth. The laser is then placed close to the teeth. The laser activates the gel and allows it to penetrate the dentine layer of the teeth - the layer which dictates colour. Superficial stains are removed and the colour of the teeth is restored to their natural white colour.

 

Laser teeth whitening works in 2 ways, therefore it is twice as effective as any other method

1. The gel removes surface stains from the enamel of the teeth

2. The laser allows the gel to penetrate deep inside dentine layer of the teeth.

Laser teeth whitening has a long term effect and is the best process for removing deep stains from the teeth. The procedure can be done either quickly or slowly based on your own preferences. But make sure not to rely much on this treatment while not disregarding the importance of good hygiene habits.

 

At Dublin Vitality Center, we offer the client 60 minutes of laser teeth whitening. That means 60 minutes under an intensive laser light. In doing, this we ensure that any sensitivity is reduced as the process occurs slowly.
